Pomander Pretty

Who would have thought that a ball of flowers could be so wonderful?! A pomander, also known as a "kissing ball" has endless possibilities when paired with the oh-so-creative mind.

Some of my favorite uses include:

Bouquets

Centerpieces

Aisle Markers

Hanging Decor

Pomanders are a versatile way to make the most out of your flower budget. Artificial or real, pink or green, the choices are endless!

Trash the Dress - * Gasp!

Yep, you read that right. You know, THE dress that you have dreamed about since grade school days? The same one that may have caused you to cut down the guest list so you could afford it? Sure, go ahead, trash it.

"Trashing" the dress may sound a lot more frightening than it actually is. In a trash the dress session, a bride gets to be herself both in her dress and on camera. Obviously the dress will never be worn again, why not get some great pictures out of it?!

Wedding Gowns: Stunning Sequins

It's nearing the end of the year and for the wedding world, this means all new dress collections and designers scrambling to have the "it" trend. What are we keeping our eye on for 2011? Sparkles, of course! The "bling" factor can be minimal and understated, or extravagant and over-the-top. Either way, sparkle is a girls best friend!!

"Spook"tacular Wedding Ideas

It's true, not all brides dream of a "fairytale wedding" with rich colors and beautiful blooms. Many non-traditional
brides love using the Halloween season to showcase their ... "darker" side. And how can you blame them? With blood red roses, cauldrons and tombstones taking center-stage, Halloween has always been a time to let our imagination run wild.

Whether you are hosting a costume wedding dressed as Frankenstein and his bride or hiring a fortune teller for your guests enjoyment, one thing is certain...your guests will embrace your eerie elegance!

A Halloween wedding is a one of a kind experience. And with a lot of love, a little planning and loads of creativity, it can be a spooktacular experience for everyone.

Snap It!

Your guests expect a photographer, they will come armed with their own digital cameras, they may even look forward to capturing images with a one time use camera...but why stop there?

Capture memories of a lifetime with a PHOTO BOOTH! Let your imagination run wild as you stockpile props just outside the booth door. Your guests will love dressing up in wigs, sunglasses, and anything else you throw in there. If you are feeling brave, include a white-board and dry erase marker so your guests can "say" what's on their mind.

Dig into that toy-box and make the best of it!

Fall-ing in Love

There's no doubt about it...the dog days of Summer are gone. And in its place has creeped the cool breeze of fall, bringing with it the deep reds, soft golds and beautiful browns. Fall is a wonderful season for weddings because it lends itself to a multitude of color palettes and design choices for all brides to be.

You may plan an "eerie" event for a Halloween wedding; or you merely adore the rich colors fall has to offer. Whatever your design choice, there is no shortage of hues to decide from!

Going "fruity"

In broad terms, a fruit is a structure of a plant that contains its seeds. And we are all aware of the benefits of "an apple a day"....but could that apple have another use??

While flowers and candles are still the "typical" decorations and any wedding soirĂ©e, the use of brightly colored produce (think lemons, limes and apples) is quickly gaining popularity.

Carnations-Not Your Typical Flower.

When brides think of wedding flowers many images come to mind; roses, babies breath, geraniums. Rarely do carnations have a spot anywhere on the list. However, arranged the right way, carnations can provide an outstanding bouquet or table decoration sans the cost.

The Planner Pages

With a history covering over 2,000 years, the carnation is not only one of the world's oldest flower varieties; it has throughout its rich history been one of the most popular as well. There are many meanings of carnations, but the most widely accepted are fascination, distinction, and love.
