This term conjures images of old, dimly lit rooms surrounded by rich fabrics and scantily clad ladies. This term is also becoming ever popular in the wedding industry. 


Today, many brides are looking for something different, something unique. And what could be more personal than an intimate photo shoot for the bride to be? Typically, the images are shot, printed and then given as a gift to the groom. Most unsuspecting males are oblivious to their partner's well-laid plan, while others anxiously anticipate the results. What a fantastic pre-wedding gift, huh guys? 


In this modern era of sexualizing EVERYTHING...boudoir photo shoots are not about sex. But rather, feeling sexy, regardless of shape, size & color. They are, in fact, a form of media for that (brave) bride-to-be, to flaunt her stuff and to capture the beauty within (and outside, of course!) 


As many things in the wedding industry go, the options are limitless. If you want a bold "Here I am, World!" picture....FANTASTIC. Or maybe a more demure, "Guess what's under this sheet?" photo...YOU GO GIRL. Either way, with the right photographer, the right light and just enough chutzpah it can be a snap! (pun intended)

Simply Stunning & the Bridal Spectacular

What a whirlwind way to start the New Year! Simply Stunning met over 150 lovely brides-to-be at the 24th Annual Bridal Spectacular, hosted in Jefferson City.


This was our first time ever hosting a vendor booth and while we weren't sure what to expect, we certainly enjoyed our time there. We got a ton of compliments on our booth decor and had plenty of things to share with the brides. 


The candy buffet was, without a doubt, a huge success. Children and adults alike stopped to fill up on a few "goodies" from the containers and inquire about the services we provide. By the end of the day, there wasn't an M&M in sight! 


We are eagerly awaiting our next show on Sunday, January, 23rd at the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Columbia. Come out and see what Simply Stunning can do for you!

Trash the Dress - * Gasp!

Yep, you read that right. You know, THE dress that you have dreamed about since grade school days? The same one that may have caused you to cut down the guest list so you could afford it? Sure, go ahead, trash it.

"Trashing" the dress may sound a lot more frightening than it actually is. In a trash the dress session, a bride gets to be herself both in her dress and on camera. Obviously the dress will never be worn again, why not get some great pictures out of it?!

It's nearing the end of the year and for the wedding world, this means all new dress collections and designers scrambling to have the "it" trend. What are we keeping our eye on for 2011? Sparkles, of course! The "bling" factor can be minimal and understated, or extravagant and over-the-top. Either way, sparkle is a girls best friend!!
